The Purple Heart is awarded to those who are wounded by an instrument of war in the hands of the enemy and , in the case of death, to the next of kin in the name of those who are killed in action or die of wounds received in action.
These are stories of those who have committed suicide or attempted suicide due to fat stigma, discrimination, and abuse and serves to show that a war always has casualties and the war on fat is no different.
